Reunion Community Dinner

Blue Triangle has partnered with Houston Black Restaurant Week to revive the tradition of the Reunion Community Dinner, a legacy honoring the center's past. This annual event brings together over 150 guests to enjoy a delightful three-course meal crafted by local Executive Chefs featuring produce from local farms. Held each fall, the dinner serves as a unique opportunity to raise funds for the center while fostering community bonds through shared harvest festivities. Join us for an evening of culinary delights, camaraderie, and support for the Blue Triangle Community Center.

Breakfast with Santa

For over 50 years, the Blue Triangle has shared the Christmas spirit through its co-sponsored "Breakfast with Santa" event held on the first Saturday in December in collaboration with the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Houston. Boys and girls between 18 months and 13 years are invited to participate, treated to a nourishing breakfast, a special visit with Santa, and a delightful gift. The event also features an impromptu talent showcase, adding an extra layer of joy to the festive occasion.

Kwanzaa for the Family

Kwanzaa For The Family” is an annual tradition celebrated at the Blue Triangle Community Center led by passionate board members Lue Ammon Williams and Ruth Ferguson. Supported by the Houston League of Business and Professional Women, this week-long program during the week after Christmas features "KWANZAA Principles," activities, games, entertainment, and wisdom. Local UPS, facilitated by Blue Triangle Friend Roderick Brown, has generously provided backpacks for all attendees, enhancing the community's engagement with this culturally significant celebration. While rooted in African cultures, the program encourages and embraces cultural diversity.

National Senior Citizens Day

Recognizing National Senior Citizens Day on August 21st, the Blue Triangle hosts a vibrant Senior Day filled with fun activities, health education workshops, arts and crafts, cooking and nutrition tips, gardening insights, and interactions with informational vendors.
